An Overview of IVF
In vitro fertilization (IVF) is the most promising infertility treatment integrated globally for inducing fertility in women’s womb. In vitro, means in glass i.e. a process taking place inside. Infertility happens in Men also and this can also be recovered by Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). IVF, a Latin phrase in which man’s sperm and the women’s egg are combined in a laboratory dish for fertilization and the resulting embryo is transferred into woman’s uterus. Over 5 millions babies have been born using this technology. Now, these ART techniques are appreciated and multiplied happiness over million families worldwide. IVF also helps to control the genetic disorders problems from parents without transmitting anything to a new born baby. Usually, sperms will be collected from their own partner.
In life, money is not only a motto. Lifestyle changes include addiction to technology, from dawn to dusk stressful life, not proper intake of adequate vitamins and antioxidants. It is important to concentrate in health first than in wealth. Physical activities like sports and yoga is must which regenerate new cells in our body.
Quick History
In 1978, the world’s first IVF baby Louise Brown was born in United Kingdom through the efforts of Patrick Steptoe and Bob Edwards. Infertility treatment was named as Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). This treatment was an addition of eggs and sperm handled in the laboratory for establishing pregnancy in women. In India, first baby was born in August, 1986 by ART method.

So how it works?
IVF is not an instantaneous process, it requires maximum of 20 days to inject the fertilized egg into women’s fallopian tube depending upon the individual health condition.
The 4 stage procedures are,
Stage 1- Ovarian Stimulation and monitoring
Stage 2-Egg (oocyte) Retrieval
Stage 3- Fertilization
Stage 4- Embryo Transfer

Each of these stages is solely processed in the laboratory and the fertilization is observed. After the division of the cells, the embryos will be formed in 3-4 days which then will be injected into women’s uterus depending on the maturity of the developed embryos.
The embryo transfer will be safely implanted in the women’s uterus and this procedure does not take more than one hour.
With advance technology even any complication during or after implantation the issues can be controlled. It is advised and recommended to maintain a healthy lifestyle after this treatment.
